The Story

About the Artwork

Bring the spirit of the Australian outback into your home with the KTAFA Limited Edition Uluru 3-Piece Canvas Set, a striking contemporary Aboriginal artwork inspired by the landscapes, stories and deep connection to Country surrounding Uluru.

This beautiful collaboration piece, titled Ayers Rock (Uluru), has been hand-painted by talented Aboriginal artists Kelly Taylor and Beaver Lennon. Kelly and Beaver share a special artistic and family connection, both coming from the same bloodline. Beaver’s great-grandfather, Barney Lennon, and Kelly’s grandmother, Millie Taylor nee Lennon, were brother and sister.

For Kelly, Uluru is deeply sacred to her people. She says her nana Millie always taught her not to climb Uluru and never to take anything from it, because the rock holds powerful cultural and spiritual meaning. Our people have a special connection to Uluru, and that connection must always be honoured and respected.

This three-piece artwork carries that feeling of respect, connection and Country, bringing together family, culture and story bringing family, culture and story together in a meaningful artwork for your home.

About Uluru

Uluru is deeply sacred to our people. It is more than a landmark, it holds law, story, culture, spirit and ancestral connection that has been cared for over thousands of years.

''Kelly says her grandmother Millie always taught her not to climb Uluru and never to take anything from it, because the rock holds powerful cultural and spiritual meaning. That teaching has stayed with her and is carried through this artwork with respect.''

Ayers Rock (Uluru) reflects that deep connection through movement, earthy colour and layered storytelling. Hand-painted by Kelly Taylor and Beaver Lennon, this collaboration brings together family, bloodline, culture and Country in a meaningful artwork for your home.
