The Process

From first conversation to launch

A clear, six-step process designed to give partners confidence at every stage — from cultural brief through artwork delivery, licensing and unveiling.

01

Discovery

We begin with a conversation about your organisation, your story, your people and the cultural intent behind the brief.

02

Cultural Brief

Kelly and the family translate your brief into a cultural concept — composition, symbols and storyline are drafted and shared for sign-off.

03

Artwork Creation

The original is hand-painted by Kelly Taylor and her daughters in our Adelaide studio, with regular progress updates.

04

Story & Authentication

Every original is delivered with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a written story card explaining its meaning.

05

Licensing & Rollout

Where required, we license usage for uniforms, packaging, signage, digital campaigns and printed collateral with clear terms.

06

Launch & Legacy

We support unveilings, NAIDOC and RAP launches with artist statements, media notes and on-the-day attendance where possible.

Frequently Asked

Collaboration enquiries

Common questions from organisations and brands considering a first commission with KTAFA.

01

How long does a commission take?

Most original commissions take six to twelve weeks from approved concept to delivery, depending on scale and complexity. Larger RAP works and multi-panel pieces are scoped individually.

02

Do you license artwork for uniforms, packaging or campaigns?

Yes. We license existing artworks and create new originals specifically for licensing across uniforms, packaging, vehicles, signage, print and digital campaigns. Terms are tailored to scope and reach.

03

Can you create artwork for a Reconciliation Action Plan?

Yes — RAP artworks are one of our most requested services. We work with Reflect, Innovate, Stretch and Elevate RAPs and can attend launches and provide written artist statements.

04

Do your artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

Every original artwork is supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a story card explaining the cultural meaning of the work.

05

Can the artists attend launches and present the work?

Where dates allow, Kelly and her daughters attend unveilings, RAP launches and NAIDOC events to present the artwork and share its story directly with your team.

06

How do we get started?

Submit a brief through our enquiry form or contact us directly. We will arrange a discovery conversation and provide a tailored proposal within five business days.
