Taliyah Ware – Aboriginal Artist
Fresh energy, intuitive colour, traditional roots.
Taliyah Ware is an emerging Aboriginal artist from South Australia and part of the KT Aboriginal Fine Art family collective.
Taliyah belongs to the Yankunytjatjara and Kokatha peoples on her mother’s side and the Wirangu and Narungga peoples on her father’s side.
As the eldest daughter in a three-generation family of Aboriginal artists, Taliyah paints alongside her mother Kelly Taylor and sisters T’keyah and Kelilah Ware, continuing the cultural legacy passed down through their great-grandmother Molly Terone Lennon and grandmother Millie Terone Lennon.
Artistic Style
Taliyah works primarily with acrylic paint on canvas using traditional Aboriginal dot painting techniques.
Her distinctive style groups dots together to create rhythm, movement and depth across the canvas.
Her colour palette often reflects the desert sunset tones of Wirangu Country around Ceduna.
Cultural Connection
Taliyah’s artworks represent family, community and cultural storytelling.
The symbols used in her paintings honour elders, ancestors and the journeys of her people across Country.
Through painting she shares cultural stories while contributing to the continuation of Aboriginal art traditions within her family.
Vision
Taliyah hopes to exhibit alongside her mother and sisters in the future, presenting a powerful showcase of intergenerational Aboriginal art and storytelling.
This vision reflects the collaborative spirit at the heart of KT Aboriginal Fine Art.
