Storytelling is an original Aboriginal painting by T’keyah Ware, measuring 40W × 40H cm with a 4-5 cm black border.

This artwork shares the importance of storytelling, family connection and the knowledge passed down through generations. The meeting places, pathways and layered dot work represent people coming together, sharing stories, learning from Elders and keeping culture strong.

The rich earthy tones, soft pinks, ochres, deep browns and black details reflect connection to Country, movement across the land and the strength of Aboriginal storytelling. Each section carries its own rhythm, showing how stories travel through family, community and Country.

T’keyah Ware is a South Australian Aboriginal artist with KT Aboriginal Fine Art. A proud Yankunytjatjara, Kokatha, Wirangu and Narungga woman, she was born in Port Augusta and raised in Ceduna.

She began painting at 13 years old, learning alongside her mother, Kelly Taylor. Today, T’keyah creates contemporary Aboriginal artworks through KTAFA, sharing stories of Country, identity, family. She also paints alongside her mother and created the RFDS Flight Journey Line, unveiled in 2020 and reproduced on uniforms worn across SA/NT bases. Her work has also featured in Vogue Living and the Disney Australia × Bluethumb collaboration.
