The Story

About the Artwork

Blue Rain is an original Aboriginal painting by Kelly Taylor, created on a large 300W x 200H cm canvas.

This artwork shares a story of rain moving across Country, bringing water, renewal and life back to the land. The blue tones represent rain clouds, waterholes and the movement of water through Country after dry times.

Across the painting, the meeting places and pathways symbolise family, community and connection. They represent people gathering, travelling across Country, sharing stories and remaining connected to important places through culture, memory and lived experience.

The layered dot work reflects the Country itself, the land, water, sky and sacred places that hold stories passed down through generations. The movement throughout the artwork represents the way rain travels across the landscape, filling rockholes and waterholes and bringing new life to plants, animals and people.

Blue Rain is a powerful large-scale original painting that brings a strong sense of movement, calm and connection to any space. It is suited to collectors, homes, offices, galleries, cultural spaces and corporate interiors.

This original painting is hand signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Only one original artwork is available. Finish options are for the same original painting.
