About KTAFA

About KT Aboriginal Fine Art

A three-generation Aboriginal family collective sharing stories of Country, family and cultural connection through contemporary art.

Family, Country and Cultural Continuity

KT Aboriginal Fine Art began with myself and my daughter T’keyah painting together in 2019. What started as a mother and daughter sharing time, stories, and culture through art has grown into something very special for our family.

Today, KTAFA is a family-led collective of Aboriginal women artists from South Australia. I now paint alongside my daughters T’keyah, Kelilah, and Taliyah, with three generations connected through our stories, our creativity, and our love for Country.

Our artworks are inspired by the stories that have been passed down, the places we belong to, and the connections that shape who we are. Through our paintings, we share stories of Country, family, gathering places, journeys, waterholes, bush foods, and cultural knowledge carried through generations.

For us, art is more than paint on canvas. It is a way of keeping culture strong, honouring our Elders, and sharing the stories that connect us to Country and to each other. Every artwork carries a part of our family, our journey, and the knowledge we continue to pass on.
